Carolina Crusher originally debuted in 1985 by Monster Truck Legend, Gary Porter. The iconic Carolina Crusher yellow paint scheme appeared in December of 1986, then the red/yellow scheme in 1990. Porter competed with the truck in the PENDA series, winning a championship. Years later after the series was discontinued, Porter sold the Carolina Crusher name to Paul Shafer in 1999. Under new ownership, the name was leased to many other drivers to run the name on their trucks.

Under Shafer, the name was ran on both previous Monster Patrol and Bearfoot chassis. Drivers Joe Payne, Bill Wirth, Scott Chrisholm, James Tigues II, Larry Swim, Mike Harper, BJ Johnson and more ran the iconic name under Shafer’s ownership. Being a part of the Grave Digger team, Gary Porter would run the Carolina Crusher name for his last 2 years with Monster Jam.

Cameron Tweedy would make his driving debut in the new Carolina Crusher after its purchase by James Trantina in 2022. The truck is currently a former Nitro Menance chassis, previously owned by Darren Migues.

For 2023, Cameron would add yellow, red and blue accents to the truck to highlight the Carolina Crusher name! Cameron’s brothers, Logan and Austin Tweedy, have filled in and represented the iconic name as well.

IN 2024 CAMERON TWEEDY WOULD GET TO DEBUT CAROLINA CRUSHER 2.0 WITH A UPDATED CHEVY BODY (SAME AS MONSTER PATROL 30) AND A NEW DESIGN. CAMERON WILL ALSO BE DRIVING A NEWER CHASSIS THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY USA-1.
